Traps are available at the Village Offices for rental for a refundable fee. A check is required at the time of rental. NO CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED.
The agreement states that the trap rental is for a period of up to two weeks. The user is responsible for returning the trap and will pay for any damages to the trap or replacement as necessary. Trap Prices are as follows:

Please call 505-869-2358 to have Animal Control pick up your trapped animal. Please be aware that skunks will only be picked up in an approved skunk trap.
All Animal Control complaints must be submitted in writing at the Village office.

VACCINATION OF DOGS AND CATS REQUIRED –
Section 8-4-5 Rabies Control. It is the duty of every person keeping a dog, cat, or ferret over the age of three months to have such animals vaccinated against rabies as required by state law. Any unvaccinated dog, cat, or ferret brought into the Village shall be securely confined by the owner or custodian until vaccinated against rabies, which shall be administered within one week of entry into the Village. Any rabies vaccination performed by a veterinarian in another county, state or country must conform to the requirements of the State of New Mexico to be valid within the Village.
Section 8-3-3 Schedule of fees and fines.
Fees to be charged by the Village for Running at Large are as follows:
1. First Offense – Twenty-five dollar ($25.00) RAL fee, Fifty dollar ($50.00) Impound fee per day and Twenty-five dollar ($25.00) Reclaim fee per day.
2. Second Offense – One hundred dollar ($100.00)RAL fee, Seventy-five dollar ($75.00) Impound fee per day and Fifty dollar ($50.00) Reclaim fee per day.
3. Third Offense and subsequent offenses – Two hundred fifty dollar ($250.00) RAL fee, One hundred dollar ($100.00) Impound fee per day and One Hundred dollar ($100.00) Reclaim fee per day.
The animal will be held for a maximum of 72 hours.
